Edb's Diamond Showroom
The Best Custom Work You Can Find by Anonymous, 7/20/2004 What began as a one time purchase with EDB showroom has become a family relationship, as we have now given all of our extended family's business to EDB, even those who do not live in Cincinnati. They are highly professional with exquisite selection and have been fabulous with custom designs. i would not trust anyone else with my design or my money. I have not had any experience with the new location, but the original showroom cannot be beat. i am also quite happy to know that the customers will not be carrying concealed weapons, since apparently those offended by the sign have either agreed to the highly reasonable request or stopped frequenting the store. Bought a diamond ring 6 yrs ago, but with "No Weapons" sign on door now, I won't go in! by Paul, 7/12/2004 EDB has some beautiful pieces of jewelry, and I purchased a beautiful diamond ring for my wife about 6 years ago. I can no longer go into their stores due to the "No Weapons" signs they post on the front doors. I don't know why in the world that Eddie Lane of EDB would choose to deny the citizens of Ohio their God-given right to bear arms within his stores. I'm not talking about the crooks, but those of us who have passed an extensive background and criminal history check, and are free from felonies and violent crime. Do the folks at EDB really believe that the criminals will pay any attention to their "No Weapons" signs??? Businesses who display this sign are the favorite spots for a criminal to hit because he knows nobody else in the store is armed but him! Look at some of the trucking companies where half a dozen or more are murdered!! Only the killer is the one who's armed! Waaaaaay overpriced ! by Tom in Cincinnati, 7/7/2004 When purchasing an engagement ring I visited Edb's after having heard their commercials claiming to have low prices. I was very disappointed. I ended up purchasing a ring at a small local jewelry store. With ring in hand I returned to Edb's about a week later. I compared the diamond (the band was of the standard simple type) to those that they currently had in stock, same grade, same cut, same mount. I had them pick out comparable stones. They admitted to me that they would not be able to compete with the prices the small store was offering. This was not an enhanced diamond. Bottom line; shop around because Edb's was about twice the price I had paid for this ring. Rule of thumb; the sexier the woman behind the counter, the more you will be paying for the ring, I bought mine from an ugly old man. I like to shower my wife with diamonds and I always shop around, and I always seem to find my way back to the ugly old man at the small family store. Excellent to good by Anonymous, 6/27/2004 My husband purchased my 1.5 emeral cut diamond from EDB before he had the showrooms over 13 years ago. The quality, customer service and price was excellent. Since then, we have made numerous purchases from EDB. I have always been happy with the quality and price of the diamonds. It is the only place we go to buy diamonds. we have referred amny family and friends who have made many purchases and are happy with their diamonds. However, recently the customer service hads been less than superior. The staff at the new location could be more friendly and curtious. Its was a little embarressing when I had recommended them to a close friend and the staff was less than friendly - especially when you consider the custom piece she was ordering. Overall, the price and quality is great but I will shop only at their Montgomery location where the staff is more friendly and helpful. |
