Andrews Jewelers
Like buying a used car by Lee Ann & Steve, 4/30/2004 For many years, Andrews has been my favorite jewelry store. I have made many purchases over the years and have always enjoyed shopping at Andrews. My fiancée and I have been shopping for several months for an engagement ring and our wedding bands. I proudly took him to Andrews at Easton in Columbus thinking that we would certainly get good service and the best deal. We didn't stay long. The lady that helped us smelled so strongly of alcohol that it literally made us sick. Yesterday, we decided to stop by the Andrews at Eastland Mall in Columbus. We were looking to spend approximately $3 to $5,000 total. The man that originally helped us was very nice and polite and seemed willing to help us as much as possible to meet our needs. He then called the manager over to "see if he could come up with even a better deal". The manager advised us that he couldn't do what the other man had told us they could do and then proceeded to talk down to us and treat us like we were idiots. He advised me that what was important to me in a diamond was totally incorrect and that I should be concerned with this rather than that, etc. He had us both so angry when we left that we both decided that we would never shop at an Andrews again. I am very disappointed that what used to be such a friendly pleasant experience has now become like buying a used car. It is looking like our $5,000 will now go to E.M. Smith jewelers in Circleville, OH where we can still get personal attention and the "hometown" experience. |
