Boise Towne Square - Call Jewelers
False Advertising by Sandy L., 4/26/2004 Okay my boyfriend and I went to call jewelers to look for an engagement ring. We are both educated about diamonds. I thought well it wouldn't hurt to get a ring that's not certified...yeah right. They told us that it was a 1 carat. When we decided we didn't like it and wanted to return it, they wouldn't take it back. We went to pawn it when the owner told us that our ring wasn't even a carat. Okay .94 pretty close, but that doesn't make it okay for them to have false advertising. Every year we see them having their BLOWOUT sale, GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. What a total scam. Not only that but when we confronted them about the lie they called their customer service or something like that and again told us it was a whole 1.00 carat. I was so furious that we decided to downgrade to a half carat certified. They wouldn't give us our money back and told us to leave. How about that. When we asked if we could see the diamond under a scope the manager told us it's better to see it under a magnifier. We pushed and pushed but they wouldn't even give us a minute of their time, never ever go to that place. If they really are going out of business this time. GOOD. ITS ABOUT TIME. They are the rudest most insensitive people I know. We spend a couple grand there and they wouldn't even help us with their misleading advertisment. They totally ruined our engagement. Now we're waiting until we have enough money to go to a wholesale jeweler and get loose diamonds there, hopefully that will be a better experience. |
