The help was not helpful. They messed up my layaway. They mixed up my payments. by N Chase, 7/27/2004 I do not recommend this company because they have staff that do not seem to know anything about jewelry. The staff at Rotterdamn Square Mall in Schenectady, NY messed up layaway payments between two items that I had on layaway. When I piked up my ring, they thought that it was paid in full, when in fact it was not...and I could have walked out with a $600 ring with a payment of only 150 dollars towards it. The staff do not answer the phone. I spent half of an afternoon two days before Christmas trying to get in touch with someone. They told me my ring would be ready on that day, and I never got to speak with someone, so I had to drive there. When I go there they didn't have my ring. They said to call back the next day, and I did...about 15 times. Still no answer....then finally they picked up to say that my ring was there. I got there and they couldn't even get the paperwork straight. Another instance was when I got a Peridot stone replaced out of an old ring I had. Two days later, the stone fell out. I brought it back to the store, and they replaced it for free. Now, Im scared to even wear the ring for fear I will loose it again. I had a layaway for a ring for my boyfriend. They originally marked the ring for 299.00. I put it on layaway for this much...then a few months down the road they told me that the price only stayed that way through the Christmas season on special. The new total for the price of the ring was almost $500 after taxes and warrenty. What a nightmare. I do not recommend anyone to go there. Nor will I ever go back to purchase anything from thier stores again. |
